Our Research

In the Goedeke lab, we are interested in understanding the fundamental mechanisms by which alterations in metabolic flux drive signaling changes at the cellular, tissue and whole-body level, with the intent of uncovering novel therapeutics for the treatment of cardiometabolic disease. Using a combination of in vivo physiology, molecular biology, stable isotope tracer methodology and integrative multi-omics, we aim to define the critical metabolic pathways that underlie atherosclerotic plaque progression/vulnerability and contribute to residual cardiovascular disease risk.
