      <image:caption>Dr. Leigh Goedeke, Ph.D. Assistant Professor and Principle Investigator Leigh joined the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai as an Assistant Professor in April 2022. Originally from Maryland, Leigh obtained her B.S. in Biology from Gettysburg College and her Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from NYU School of Medicine. Under the mentorship of Dr. Carlos Fernandez-Hernando she identified and characterized novel genes and miRNAs involved in the regulation of lipid metabolism using functional genomic screens. As a postdoctoral fellow at Yale School of Medicine, Leigh applied stable isotope tracer methodology to study insulin resistance and cardiovascular disease. Google Scholar | CV</image:caption>
